Your photos
Photos are turned into charts inside your browser. They are not uploaded to Threadhood. Before you have an account, the chart you're working on and a small copy of the photo are kept in your browser's own storage so a reload doesn't lose them; clearing your browser data removes them.
What we store when you have an account
- Your email address and a hashed password, held by our sign-in service.
- The charts you save: their grid of threads, name, fabric and strands, and which stitches you've marked done.
- Your thread stash, if you use it.
- If you subscribe, your Stripe customer and subscription ids and their status. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
Sharing
A chart is public only if you make a share link for it, and only to people with the link. You can stop sharing at any time, which turns the link off.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages and steps people use, so we can improve them. Signed-in visits are tagged with a one-way hash of your account id and your plan, never your email.
Where data lives
The app and database are hosted in the EU (Germany) by Helm7. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Deleting your data
Delete your account from the Account page and your charts, progress, stash and sign-in are removed, and any subscription is cancelled.
